With World cup last year and the Autumn Nations Cup currently underway, the rankings of the international squads has seen an interesting change as of recent. Here is what us at the Rugby Room have to say on it...

Firstly, with Argentina making it to 8th place taking into account their recent 25 - 15 win over New Zealand and overall generally improved performance in their last number of games, We say that Argentina deserve this spot with them being able to give even the more stronger teams a run for there money.

One part that surprised us was the position of Wales. Sitting at 10th, the well structured Wales squad has seen a dip in their standing despite their grand slam victory in the 6 Nations in 2019. The team has been put under more pressure recently suffering from 2 rough defeats against France and Ireland with the anti climactic game against Georgia despite them winning 18 -0 as the fans were expecting more.

France sitting at 4th place is a fantastic achievement for the rapidly improving European side. With some recent fantastic wins against Wales, Ireland and Scotland. France have got a good opportunity to finish in a high place in the current 8 Nations Cup if they keep up their current performance, only time will tell.

With the mighty All Blacks sitting at 3rd place, one can only imagine the frustration that the squad could be facing. New Zealand has always been known for literally being the best rugby team on the planet, but with regards to their defeats against their close rivals Australia and the up and coming Argentina squad, this has most certainly taken its toll on the famous team.

With South Africa sitting at the top of the rankings, this is no surprise as they have clearly shown their dominance on the pitch and out played most of their recent contest. Of course who couldn't take into account their World Cup win from last year! South Africa really are the world champions of rugby.
